Getting started
How do I create my first agent?
There are three routes, and all three are on the Create an agent page.
1. Describe the topic in your own words. The AI helper asks at most three clarifying questions and suggests keywords and search angles. You can change everything before the agent is created.
2. Write the keywords yourself. You decide exactly which words the agent should find.
3. Pick a template. The library has ready-made agents with name, keywords and search angles filled in. Change what you want done differently, and create.
The films at the top of this page show all three routes.

What is the difference between a keyword agent and an AI agent?
A keyword agent collects every article where your keywords appear. It is simple to follow: if the word is in the article, the article comes in.
An AI agent has keywords AND search angles. The keywords find the candidates, and then a model assesses each article against the search angles, so only the articles that are actually about what you are looking for come in. It suits topics where the wording varies from article to article.

What are search angles?
Search angles describe what the agent should look for, written as full sentences. For example "New wind farms and solar plants in Denmark" instead of just the word "wind turbines". The AI helper suggests them from your description, and you can always edit, add or delete them on the agent afterwards.
Why does an AI agent need at least one keyword?
The keywords are the first filter in the collection. They find the articles the model has to assess. Without keywords there are no articles to assess, and the agent finds nothing. So pick keywords broad enough to catch the topic, and let the search angles do the sorting.
Does the agent use my description again later?
No. The description is used once, when the AI helper writes the suggested keywords and search angles. After that it is the keywords and the search angles that drive the agent. To change what the agent finds, edit them directly on the agent.
The agent is not finding the right thing
My agent finds no articles. What do I do?
A new agent is filled with older articles right away, so an empty list almost always means the keywords are not hitting. Check three things:
1. Did you write the base form? A keyword is also found inside longer words, so "internship" catches "internships", but "internships" does not catch "internship". Write the shortest form the media use.
2. Is the keyword too narrow? If it has several words, every word has to appear in the article. Try fewer or broader words, and let the search angles trim it down.
3. Is Precise switched on? Then the word or phrase has to appear exactly as written, and inflected forms do not count. Switch it off unless the word would otherwise catch too much.

My agent finds too much noise. How do I tighten it?
Start with the keywords. A single broad word, say "bank", catches everything.
1. Swap broad words for precise ones. Names, products, places.
2. Use Precise on short abbreviations and names, for instance "AI" or "Lars Løkke". Without Precise, "AI" is also found inside "mails", and a name of several words also catches articles where the words appear apart.
3. Add search angles. Then the model assesses each article against what you actually want to know, and sorts the passing mentions out.
4. Remove what got in anyway. You can remove a single story from the agent, or clear out the whole agent once you have fixed the keywords.

What does Precise do to a keyword?
Without Precise a keyword is also found inside longer words and in inflected forms: "merger" catches both "mergers" and "megamerger". If the keyword has several words, every word has to appear somewhere in the article, not necessarily next to each other. With Precise the word or phrase has to appear exactly as written, as whole words: "AI" with Precise finds "AI" but not "mails". So use Precise on abbreviations and names that would otherwise catch too much. Leave it off on ordinary words, because Precise does not catch inflections: "green transition" with Precise does not find "green transitions".
Keywords do not find both singular and plural. Is that a bug?
No, just write the base form. Without Precise a keyword is also found inside longer words, so "internship" catches both "internships" and "internship's". The plural "internships" does not catch the singular, though. If the word changes inside itself, like "mouse" and "mice", write both forms as separate keywords. With Precise switched on, only the exact form you wrote counts.
I have edited my agent, but my colleague does not see the change.
When you share an agent, your colleague gets her own copy. She can edit the copy without touching yours, and your edits do not reach hers either. If you need the same setup, edit the same thing in both places, or delete the copy and share the agent again.
Can one agent follow several countries?
An agent covers one country at a time. To follow the same topic in several countries, create one agent per country. Which countries your plan covers is on the pricing page.
Articles, media and numbers
Which media do you follow?
Over 200 Danish news outlets, from national to local and trade media. Outlets from other countries can be added as an extra country, see the pricing page. New articles come in continuously around the clock, not in one daily batch.
Do I get the full text of the article?
No. You get the headline, the outlet and a link straight to the article at the outlet. We do not resell the outlets' text. If the article is behind a paywall, it is marked, so you can see it before you click.
Why does the same story appear only once when many outlets have written about it?
Because we group the same story across outlets. Open the story and you see each individual publication with outlet, time, and whether the article was on the outlet's front page and for how long.
What are estimated views?
An estimate of how many people have seen the mention. It is calculated from the size of the outlet and how prominently the article was placed, among other things its position on the front page and how many minutes it stayed there. It is an estimate, not a measurement of clicks.
What do relevance and prominence mean on a mention?
A score from 0 to 100 for how central the company is in the article. High score: the article is about you. Low score: you are mentioned in passing. Under My company you can filter the peripheral mentions out.
Sharing, team and scheduled sends
How do I share an agent with a colleague?
Your colleague has to be in your organisation first. Invite her under Settings, Team. After that you can share the agent with her from the agent's page. She gets her own copy, which she can edit herself. Pro and Business include one user. Each extra user costs DKK 300/month, up to 3 users in total on Pro and up to 10 on Business.
Can I send the overview to people who do not have OrbisX?
Yes, with a scheduled send. The editor is the mail itself: you build it from modules, for example an agent, On the front pages now, the Front-page map, a comparison, an info block and LinkedIn posts, and see it as the recipient gets it. You choose the recipients and one or more send times per weekday. The recipients need no account. They get links to the articles, and every mail has its own unsubscribe link. Send a test to yourself first, so you see the result before it goes out.
Can I share a single article?
The article is a link to the outlet, so you can pass the link on however you like. In the app you can also send a mention to a colleague with your own note, and she gets it in her inbox in the app.
Account, plan and payment
What happens when my trial expires?
The trial lasts 7 days and expires on its own. Nothing is charged, and there is nothing to cancel. You get a mail 3 days before and again the day before, with a link to the pricing page.
After it expires you cannot create agents, use the AI helper, export, share, or edit and send scheduled sends. Your agents and settings stay in place, so they carry on without new setup if you choose a subscription. Buy on the pricing page, and access is back immediately.

How many agents can I have?
The trial gives you 1 agent, Pro 3 and Business 10. The current numbers are always on the pricing page. If you need more, write to us.
How do I cancel or reactivate my subscription?
Under Settings, Invoices. You can cancel there, and reactivate again in the same place.
Can I pay by invoice instead of card?
Yes. On the pricing page you can ask to pay by invoice, and we will contact you.
I have forgotten my password.
Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page, and we will send a link to your mail. If you got a temporary password from a colleague instead, see the video above about logging in for the first time.
The app
Is there an OrbisX app?
Yes, for iPhone and iPad, with the same login as on the web. Everything you create on the web you see in the app, and the other way round. Apple Watch shows the agents with new mentions.
Why am I not getting push notifications?
Push notifications are off for every agent from the start, so the app does not interrupt you without being asked. Switch them on per agent in the app, for the agents that are allowed to interrupt.
Where do I find what is new since last time?
Use the "New only" lens on an agent. It hides everything you have already seen, so you go straight to what has come in.
